The hosts, married couple Stefanie and Marcel Gerber, have furnished the hotel rooms in a timelessly elegant style – warm colours that inspire a feeling of well-being and create a cosy atmosphere. The expansive, only recently extended spa facilities now take up a thousand square metres. With the dimmed light, wooden panelling and views across the steaming outdoor pool, which is heated all year round, they are the ideal place to unwind and relax. The restaurant "Gaststube Henneberger Haus" or the beer garden, which is only open in the summer, invite you to treat yourself to some culinary delights after a free guided hike, a game of nine-pin bowling on the hotel's in-house alley or an evening spent by the camp fire.

 

EXPERIENCE TIP

On a canoe tour from Meiningen to Wernshausen, you glide along completely relaxed on the gently flowing Werra river, through green willow tunnels and open wetland valley landscapes.
