AKZENT Hotel „Zur Post“ | Bad Tabarz

Beneath a bright blue sky, the massage table is placed at the edge of a forest clearing. You take in the blades of grass and wild flowers swaying gently in the wind. In the branches of the tree, a wren cheerfully warbles its song, whilst the hands of the massage therapist wander across your body in their search for tense areas. The hotel "Zur Post" is framed by trees and situated in the centre of the spa town Bad Tabarz, yet only a few minutes away from the colourful herb meadows. This closeness to nature is hotel director Mario Peschke's passion, as the hotel is totally dedicated to the Kneipp therapy treatments practised in Bad Tabarz. He wants his guests to be able to relax completely, and to treat their body to something beneficial. This not only includes a wide offer of spa treatments but also a health diet based on Kneipp's principles: Freshly prepared dishes made from regional ingredients are very important to the in-house restaurant's kitchen staff. The country butcher "Hill" in Leina supplies the restaurant with meat and and sausages; the bread rolls and cakes come from the long-established bakery Stiebling, the asparagus from Herbsleben, fruit from the Fahner Höhen area, and the Thuringian beer is brewed in Apolda.
